Sheet Metal Worker in DOG SWAMP, Western Australia
The Company:
Our Wangara based client is nation-wide company who have been manufacturing and installing state of the art roller doors for commercial and residential sectors for coming on 40 years. They pride themselves on providing a stable and state of the art workplace with excellent facilities and room to move within their company.
The Role:
Due to the upcoming retirement of one of their long-term employees, they are now looking to appoint an additional Sheet Metal worker who is happy to be mentored and coached by highly experienced tradesmen. It is essential you have a Forklift (LF) License and are comfortable manoeuvring 1200kg sheet coils. Other duties will include but not limited to:
• Operating the guillotine, brake press and Slitline machines
• Forklift driving
• Loading and unloading coils, beams and flat sheets of metal
• Bending and folding of various metals
• Quality control throughout the process of manufacture
About You…
In order to be successful for this position you will need to possess the following:
• Outstanding work ethic with the ability to product a high standard of workmanship
• Willingness to learn from a highly experienced tradesmen
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Excellent verbal communication skills / ability to read & interpret drawings
• Current Forklift license
• Own PPE gear (Steel capped boots, long sleeved high vis shirt / pants)
• Current driver’s license with reliable vehicle
• Permanent resident of Australia

Our client is offering a role that is initially casual on an ongoing basis and for the right person the opportunity for permanency. Family friendly hours of 6.00am – 2.00pm allowing a great work/life balance, a brand new factory with state-of-the-art facilities. The hourly rate is negotiable starting at $25.00 p/h + super + possible OT.
